November/December favourites

Monday, 29 December 2014

Hi, dolls, hope all is well.
I know i have been away for so long and I do apologies about that, I've just been super busy. BUT i promise i have a list of posts to upload and all shall be uploaded very soon Insha’Allah.
So, today’s post it is going to be on my November/ December favorites, it will be a mix of beauty and make up products. So, here it goes....
Hazel witch night treatment gel- Now this is the freaking bom.com, i love this product it works like magic I swear by it, because I have such a sensitive skin i literally breakout of anything and everything, I use this every night after spraying rose water on my face and go to sleep... Omg my face feels like baby's bum!! When I wake up in the morning and if I do have a pimple it would just kill it overnight. And the best part is that it never breaks me out...so if any of you lovely readers suffer from acne and break outs you should totally check out the witch hazel products (facial wash, scrubs, primer and blemish sticks etc.)

Price- £9.40(boots)

Rose water- Rose water has sooo many good benefits I know some people who uses it for everything; food, drinks and even in the shower. I personally love rose water and use it on a daily basis on my skin. I would spray it on my face every morning before I apply my make up to give it that moisture and hydration then I would go on applying any face creams or primer before my foundation then I spray it again to set my make up, I also use it again at night after cleansing my face just to get my face ready for my night creams. It is just an amazing product and it helps the skin so much, ever since I started using it my face always feels fresh and I hardly get any pimples anymore.
Price-£4.39(boots/Amazon)
Foundation- Maybelline 24 hour’s super stay-Since I have discovered this foundation i stopped using all my other foundations including my high ends products. It gives full coverage (build able) and it stays put all day like literally. I leave the house at 7/8 to go to uni or work and come back at around 5 and my face be looking the same.  it goes on like a dream and no matter how many layers I put on, it doesn't  look caked up and heavy ,and it’s really inexpensive I think I got mine from boots for like eight pounds. yaaaay!!/

Price- £8.19
Maybelline Fit me concealer-This concealer is like the Nars cream concealer except is more affordable. I use this under my eyes and as a highlighter, its perfect it doesn't crease under the eyes and it’s very easy to apply. They have this concealer in variety of shades so there's a match for everybody :))

Price £5.99(boots/super drugs)
Mascara- Miss sporty (pump up lash booster). This mascara is amazing for a super-drug product, it does everything a mascara is supposed to do. It makes my lashes super full, thick and long. I’m just in love and its super CHEAP! i bought mine for like less than three pounds...Another yaaaay!!
Price-£2.99
MUA Bronzer- I find most of the bronzer I own are very orange and they don't look great after few hours of wear they start to look muddy and dirty. However, this MUA bronzer it’s a pound worth... Its choking I know!! It is the best bronzer ever I've repurchased this product of four times now.
Price-£1.00
Make up revolution pallet- Another super drug product, yep! I've just realized that all the products have been mentioned above are from super drugs.  Hahaha... It’s great for those who are on a budget or a student like myself. I have just recently purchased this pallet and I love how pigmented it is, and the colours are just heaven, they have one of super bright colours, a neutral and a mix pallet, I have the neutral and I love it...
Price- £4.00

10.Basic steps to achieve good looking skin.

Friday, 10 October 2014

Just to follow upon my last post (skin routine) I thought I’ll sum the general idea of a successful skin care routine for you guys. No matter what your skin type is or what products you are using the same principle applies to all.

1.   Resist the temptation to touch your face-Try to avoid touching your face as much as possible as this can transfer bacteria and dirt to your face blocking your pores which then will make you break out like there’s no tomorrow!
2.        Determine your skin type- it is important to know your skin type because you don’t want to use the wrong products which will not work for you and might actually worsen the problem. And just remember what works on me might not work on you. Why? Because we are all different.
3.        Never pick, squeeze or pop your pimples - no matter how tempting it is. NEVER!!!.. Yes it’s tempting but never squeeze any pimples because you will regret it later when a little bad man appears on your face. Not nice huh!!
4.        If you don't already have them, you will need to buy or make your own cleanser, toner, moisturizer, defoliant & a face mask. Yes they all can be homemade or obviously can be purchased from any store just be careful not to buy harsh products especially if you have acne prone/ sensitive / dry skin (like me)
5.        Cleanse tone and moisturize twice a day - once in the morning before you put on makeup, and once at night before you go to bed. This is just to keep your face hydrated all day and night to avoid dry skin.
6.        A few minutes after cleansing, tone your face with toner and a cotton pad-Toner is used to restore your skin's natural pH levels which were probably changed during cleansing. You just need to apply a small amount of toner to a cotton pad and simply wipe over your entire face avoiding the eye area.
7.        So after cleansing and toning you should moisturize with a face moisturizer for your skin type. Even if you have an oily skin still moisturize with an oil free moisturizer.
8.        Once or twice a week, in place of your daily cleanser, you should exfoliate with an exfoliating facial wash- make sure it’s not too harsh on your skin..Do your research on the products you are interested in before purchasing.
9.        Apply a face mask regularly.

10.      Stick to your routine! This is the important thing make sure you stick with it, however if after a month of using a routine and you can't see any difference within your skin, change products to see what works best for you....no matter what you use these are the steps you need to follow.

Thank for reading...Hope this was helpful.

My Skin routine

Salaam/ hi lovelies, I hope you are all well Insha’Allah.
You might wanna grab a snack before you start reading ;) Haha....
It can be very confusing and daunting to know what to do in order to get that amazing skin. Trust me I know!... so today am going to share with you all my skin routine and the products used to help you maintain healthy looking skin, you don’t have to break the bank purchasing products that would only make your face worse. Most products will work for a certain amount of time and then stop or starts to break you out, such as; proactive, exposed and many other skin care products (they are addictive with no results), but the most important thing is that those products are used like drugs on the skin, making your skin crave and get used to them so you have to purchase them all the time. Advertisements are there to mislead and break our banks!! Skin care brands they don’t care they just want to make profit... Honestly if you just use natural ingredients you will probably see better results without breaking out and making the matter worse.

Let’s get on with the post shall we? I’m going to break it down into two parts morning and evening. You will be shocked at how much I do: O Not much at all you’ll see in minutes...
Every morning, when I wake up I would wash my face with black soap thoroughly for good two minutes just to get rid of all the oils my skin has produced over night and any bacteria that got on my face from the pillow case (that’s why it’s important to wash your pillow case twice a week), so after that I would just moisturize my face with coconut oil and that’s it. However, on days where I   exfoliate my face using lemon and sugar scrub(be very careful not to rub too hard as it can be too harsh and irritate your skin further) and I usually do that twice/three times a week depending on how my skin is feeling..
Tip- instead of buying toners, cleansers, exfoliates and face scrubs you can make your own at home.
·         Lemon/ vinegar as a toner
·         Lemon and sugar  scrub to exfoliate- this will reduce the appearance of acne scaring as it will get rid of all the dead skin cells
·         Lime/lemon on a wet cotton pad to cleans (massage this into your for around 10 minutes in a circular motion)

Evening routine- Just before I go to bed I would start of by removing my eye makeup using coconut oil on a cotton pad rubbing my eye gently to remove it.( this works 10000% better than any actual make up remover.)I promise.
Face wash- I again wash my face with the African black soap to remove my face make up. The black soap is like magic it removes everything of your face completely. I swear by it. I sometimes use my Neutrogena face wash which is also great for getting rid of makeup leaving your face feeling clean and fresh.
Cleanser- I cleanse using lemon juice on a cotton pad rubbing it into my skin for about 10 minutes. Then I would just moisturize my skin with either coconut oil or Nivea. Than I would apply my ‘witch hazel night treatment gel’, which work to treat spots over night and to prevent any new spots from appearing.
Masks I use on a weekly basis – turmeric and lemon which I use twice a week maybe more depending on how my skin react to it, I also use lime and honey which again I use twice a week to fight dead skin cells and minimize acne scaring.

That’s it am done. Good night.

Facial wash, which I use at night  if I don't use the black soap

I use this just right before bedtime as a night treatment for spots... Amazing product this is!!

In love with this brand, it does what it says. Hands down

All-time favourite face soap (it can dry the skin out just make sure you moisturize right after use

Another black soap.. just different looking lol

Now this is the bomb. You can use this as a moisturizer, hair mask, oil pulling. EVERYTHING!

This is great for dry skin, i usually use this at night because of its thick consistency( might make your make up look a bit weird if used in the morning before makeup application, i prefer coconut oil )

If there’s anything you are not sure of or want more info just email me on beautyaddicts94@gmail.com, I’ll be more than happy to help. All the products mentioned can be found at any boots stores / drugstore and the natural ingredients can be found.... Well in your kitchen I guess ;)
Disclaimer- pictures used in this post do not belong to me ( my camera is not working properly plus i did not have time to take pictures as am very busy with uni and work..I do apologize).

Thank you for reading i hope you've enjoyed reading this post and found it helpful.

Endlesscollections Review

Saturday, 20 September 2014

Good afternoon /Salaam my lovely readers. I hope you're all in the best of health Insha’Allah. This is a review for a great face book/ Instagram store @Endlesscollections, I'm very happy to share with you some of the wonderful hijabs I've been given and to introduce the lovely sister (Aisha) and her business which she has just recently started but doing really well. They’ve sent me four hijabs (as shown below)
Endlesscollections offers a variety of hijabs and accessories at very affordable prices, they will also start introducing other items into their collection, so you might want to keep an eye on that. Their prices are the cheapest compared to other online business, they’re also working on their website which they plan to launch very soon... Exciting stuff huh?

I’ve worn my Endlesscollections several times and let me tell you am amazed with the quality.  The hijabs are  very  light without being too delicate and does stays well during the day (perfect for summer) because of the lightweight fabric which I believe is cotton/viscose mix, you don’t need to iron the scarf after every time you wear it..Bonus! Though the scarf is light and comfortable to wear, it is to some extent see-through even with the dark colours so you might want to put something underneath for more coverage...

The Four hijabs I’ve been sent from the lovely sister (Aisha),....They are currently having a Eid sale on (3 for £10)

LA Girl pro concealer

Tuesday, 15 July 2014

Good morning beauties! just a little review coming your way sit back and enjoy(you know me I like rambling)

Just a quick review on the LA girl pro concealers that I have bought recently because everyone was hyping on how good they are! So I decided to purchase them (18 shades) from 'Lady Moss beauty'(I'll leave their link below) yep!! Am greedy. But honestly now I know what the hype is all about. The concealers are awesome very creamy and provides amazing coverage, I use it to highlight and contour my face as it is very easy to blend, It can be worn alone, under or over foundation depending on how much coverage you need, it doesn't crease under the eyes and just gives a flawless finish to the skin.

All 18 shades but as you can see I’ve already eaten 3.:D

This is the lightest shade with pink undertone (can be used as a highlighter)

Medium shade- I personally use this to blend out my highlight and contour, it gives a flawless finish without creasing. I also wear it alone when I don't want any foundation on, it gives an amazing build-able coverage.

Dark shade. Now this can be used to contour but obviously as a foundation too if you have a dark complexion.

Immeh Abayas

Monday, 7 July 2014

Hi/Salaam beauties! I hope you guys are well and healthy.
So I have been on a hunt for a while now trying to find a decent abaya that I can wear on a normal day or to an occasion, and guess what? I finally found one. It is really hard to find simple abayas nowadays, everything is overly done and am the kind of person who loves simplicity. I just think that if something is simple you can always add to it by accessorising and adding your own touch to it to make it wearable for occasions and events. So yh! I came across Immeh Abayas on Instagram. They have from simple abayas to occasional wears at very affordable prices. Am absolutely in love with my new abaya, am wearing size 54 retails at £30.!! Especially the lace detailing (lace addict I am) it just looks so formal, pretty and very comfortable to wear. I'll put their website down below for your guys to check them out. Now you can wear this abaya in many ways: I paired mine with a cute flowery black belt and heels as you can see in the picture below, but obviously you can wear it your way, like I said its simple enough to wear on its own or use as a base and build it up depending on where you wearing it to....enjoy!..

How to get rid of acne

Tuesday, 24 June 2014

Hi/Salaam beauties, I hope you guys are in the best of health Insha'Allah(If God Wills).
Since I have been struggling with acne and still am, I thought I'll share my experience and what has helped me to keep them under control (real challenge). So here the thing if you have acne, acne scaring or any form of imperfections on your beautiful face just remember no one is perfect that's why photo shop, editors and filters exists. Just smile and keep your head high. My acne started when I was in high school and I really didn't care at that time it was just spots and what!! but when I started collage I was very self-conscience about my appearance and overall self-image and obviously that's when my make-up obsession started , however it did not affect my confidence or self-esteem (Well at most times) I was still a loud and cheeky student ;). Basically what am trying to say is that ALWAYS REMEMBER THERE'S ONLY ONE OF YOU IN THIS WORLD SO SHINE AND DON'T EVER LET ANYONE STEAL YOUR SHINE AWAY(Yes I'm Screaming At You. hehe). Having flaws is a part of who we are and we shouldn't be ashamed of it. Why should we?? Just because someone is pretty doesn't mean you're not.
Let’s get on with the post ehh...

Believe me guys if you want to control them cookie dough than you need to change your junky/fizzy life style into a healthy one (this includes me ;)). Firstly do any of you my lovely readers drink 8 glasses of water a day? NO I didn't think so. Trust me the struggle is real but if you want something in life you got to fight for it. So make sure you give your body the amount of water it needs don't forget our body is made out of 70% of water. Water keeps the body hydrated, cleanses the body and plump up your skin. I honestly can’t stress this enough. Water. Water. Water. Water!! yep start chanting... another thing to consider when fighting acne is making sure that you are having at least 8 hours of sleep (yeah right with the Wi-Fi on 24/7) it’s hard to go to bed early and ignore the internet. I know!. Having enough sleep will allow your body and mind to relax and improve your immune system, by not having enough sleep we are risking the increase of psychological stress by around 14% for every hour of sleep we lose a night which means, Stress increases glucocorticoid production, which can lead to abnormalities in skin structure and function, exacerbating conditions such as acne (according to studies) therefore, getting enough sleep every night is very important... Also keeping fit and healthy can really change your body physically as well as emotionally, try and work out for at least 30 minutes a day, I absolutely love dancing so I just do a dance work out. Do something you love so it’s less hard and more motivating, alongside keeping fit sugary and junk food needs to be thrown away because they have a huge contribution to the development of acne. Last but not least changing your bedding sheets especially your pillow cases twice a week as it can transmit dirt and oil to your skin causing breakouts.
Every morning after you awake up just take a look in the mirror and say out loud (not loud enough for everyone to hear otherwise they'll think you gone crazy) I'M BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY I AM!! Until you believe it.

Until next time. Take care beauties

Best high End Foundations

Hi/Salaam my lovelies!. Today I have decided to share my best high foundations in my opinion. I really hope it helps and give you an idea of what to go for or expect when you buy the mentioned products. I have tried my best to include everything about each product, but if any of you followers have a any questions just comment below or send me an email, on that note this is based on my experience now obviously everyone is different and just in case you're wondering my skin type fall into the dry/combination am also acne prone and quite sensitive haha! I guess my skin is a bit lost at the moment (still searching for its real family)

Make up for ever HD –
This foundation is a must have for all makeup artists/addicts (such as myself). It provides a medium coverage to the skin so if you need that full coverage just apply concealer to your problematic areas and you are good to go. It creates a soft focus effect that softens the skin and blurs imperfections giving you an absolute flawless skin which look beautiful in photograph and pictures. It’s perfect to use on brides and for photo shoots. I personally love it and it is one of my all-time favourites, I personally think spending money on high quality foundations is not a waste because it goes on your face and the main reason why we wear foundation in the first place is to look better not worse so spending few extra pounds is totally worth it plus expensive foundations usually last longer (well with me anyways) a little goes a long way which is a bonus!!. BUT not in all case be sure to do your research and read as many reviews as you can and when you finally decide to buy ask for a sample first, and see what works for you.
Coverage- medium coverage
Finish- satin finish
Price- £30.95
Where you can purchase - Selfridges
Mac face and body
I have wanted to get this foundation for so long especially when my face decided to go all hard rock on me during winter. This foundation is water base foundation which provided low-to-medium coverage and a flawless finish. Now with this foundation I would say is more suited for those with dry skin because its water base and its more kind to the skin than foundations with thick consistency as they can hold to dry areas making them stand out even more and we don’t want that. This foundation also good looks good in photography as it contains no SPF and can be worn all over the body. I apply it with a beauty blender or a real technique foundation brush, absolutely a great foundation for the price. However, if you have a problematic skin and need more coverage I wouldn't recommend this foundation because it doesn't provide high coverage and doesn't last very long, great alternative would be Illamasqua rich foundation it is an amazing foundation with a very high coverage, it covers everything and I mean everything ; tattoos, birth marks, acne scarring and so on.
Coverage- low to medium
Finish- dewy
Price- £21.50
Where to buy- Selfridges
Estée lauder Double wear-
This foundation is known for its lasting power and it is one of the best-selling foundations in the market. The shades are broken down into three categories’ Cool, ‘Neutrals’ and ‘Warm’, which makes it easier to find your ideal shade. I believe there are 30 shades available to choose from which is amazing, you can’t go wrong but be sure to test and ask for a sample before you buy just in case, I mean you don’t want to waste £28 pound on the wrong shade now do you? When applying the foundation you need to apply and blend it in very quickly because once it’s on it’s on for the day and doesn’t fade or wear out like most foundations do. Cool stuff right? In my opinion this foundation is absolutely great especially if you’re out all day (Most of us are) and need your face flawless without touching up every other hour.
Coverage- Full coverage
Finish – Matt finish
Price- £28
Where to purchase- Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Selfridges

Illamasqua skin base foundation
Another favourite of mine: D this is another great foundation in the market. I personally think it's more suited for people with oil/ combination skin types, it goes on like a dream and covers all blemishes giving you a flawless finish but, if you have a dry skin you might not like this as it can look a bit too obvious unless you moisturize your face really well, but for me personally I still think it dries out during the day and just doesn't look great on dry skin. On the good side though, a little goes a long way with this foundation don't let the size of the bottle tell you otherwise. It's also great to mix with other foundations depending on the coverage you want and has a pretty good staying power.
Illamasqua's description of the item ''Easily blendable, it effortlessly creates a perfect complexion, and like the entire Illamasqua foundation range, is undetectable in a professional HD environment. Suitable for all skin types, it smoothies, softens and conditions your skin whilst providing natural, buildable coverage''.
Coverage- medium, build able
Finish - Dewy /satin finish
Price-£ 32
Where to purchase- Selfridges

Other alternatives,

RRevlon colour stay
Max factor
L’Oréal true match
