Hi/Salaam beauties, I
hope you guys are in the best of health Insha'Allah(If God Wills).
Since
I have been struggling with acne and still am, I thought I'll share my
experience and what has helped me to keep them under control (real challenge).
So here the thing if you have acne, acne scaring or any form of imperfections
on your beautiful face just remember no one is perfect that's why photo shop,
editors and filters exists. Just smile and keep your head high. My acne started
when I was in high school and I really didn't care at that time it was just
spots and what!! but when I started collage I was very self-conscience about my
appearance and overall self-image and obviously that's when my make-up
obsession started , however it did not affect my confidence or self-esteem
(Well at most times) I was still a loud and cheeky student ;). Basically what
am trying to say is that ALWAYS REMEMBER THERE'S ONLY ONE OF YOU IN THIS WORLD
SO SHINE AND DON'T EVER LET ANYONE STEAL YOUR SHINE AWAY(Yes I'm Screaming At
You. hehe). Having flaws is a part of who we are and we shouldn't be ashamed of
it. Why should we?? Just because someone is pretty doesn't mean you're not.
Let’s
get on with the post ehh...
Believe
me guys if you want to control them cookie dough than you need to change your
junky/fizzy life style into a healthy one (this includes me ;)). Firstly do any
of you my lovely readers drink 8 glasses of water a day? NO I didn't think so. Trust
me the struggle is real but if you want something in life you got to fight for
it. So make sure you give your body the amount of water it needs don't forget
our body is made out of 70% of water. Water keeps the body hydrated, cleanses
the body and plump up your skin. I honestly can’t stress this enough. Water.
Water. Water. Water!! yep start chanting... another thing to consider when
fighting acne is making sure that you are having at least 8 hours of sleep (yeah
right with the Wi-Fi on 24/7) it’s hard to go to bed early and ignore the
internet. I know!. Having enough sleep will allow your body and mind to relax
and improve your immune system, by not having enough sleep we are risking the
increase of psychological stress by around 14% for every hour of sleep we lose
a night which means, Stress increases glucocorticoid production, which can lead
to abnormalities in skin structure and function, exacerbating conditions such
as acne (according to studies) therefore, getting enough sleep every night is
very important... Also keeping fit and healthy can really change your body
physically as well as emotionally, try and work out for at least 30 minutes a
day, I absolutely love dancing so I just do a dance work out. Do something you
love so it’s less hard and more motivating, alongside keeping fit sugary and
junk food needs to be thrown away because they have a huge contribution to the
development of acne. Last but not least changing your bedding sheets especially
your pillow cases twice a week as it can transmit dirt and oil to your skin causing
breakouts.
Every
morning after you awake up just take a look in the mirror and say out loud (not
loud enough for everyone to hear otherwise they'll think you gone crazy) I'M
BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY I AM!! Until you believe it.
Until
next time. Take care beauties
